LAKE OSWEGO, OR – The Lake Oswego School District will hold its first meeting to update
the community on planned improvements funded by the 2017 school bond. The meeting will
be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 10 a.m. in the cafeteria of Lakeridge Junior High
located at 4700 Jean Road, LO, 97035.
The Lake Oswego School bond was passed by voters in May 2017 to make critical capital
investments to all schools, improve earthquake resiliency, expand or upgrade Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) equipment or facilities and replace Lakeridge
Junior High School.
“The community has been our number one partner every step of the way,” said Randy Miller,
Executive Director of Project Management. “These meetings will be a great opportunity for
parents and community members to learn more about the bond, what projects we started in
2017 and what they can expect in the coming years.”
Staff members from the district bond office and representatives from the Bond Accountability
Committee, the School Board, and the Superintendent's office have been invited to attend the
meeting. There will be a Q & A session after Mr. Miller’s presentation.
Upon request, the agenda and backup materials will be made available in other languages.
Any person who requires interpreting services to participate in the meeting may request these
services by contacting the Communications Department either in person, by phone or through
email at info@loswego.k12.or.us . In addition, child care and coffee and danish will be
provided.
Community members can find more information about the community meeting, as well as the
school bond at losdschools.org/bond.
