Dear Families,
Welcome to Lakeridge Middle School TAG 2020-21. We are eager to work with you in support
of your child’sTAG programming in ways that adapt to our distance learning context this year..
As always, the bulk of your child's TAG program will be delivered through differentiated
instruction in the core classroom. In order to provide an appropriate education to all students,
the district recognizes that instruction and curriculum differentiation are essential for
academically and intellectually gifted students. For your convenience, I’ve attached the link to
the LOSD TAG resource page found here. I will continue, and am excited, to partner with you,
your TAG student(s), and their teachers to provide the best possible learning experience this
year.
We will continue to use grade level TAG Google Classrooms to access resources, competitions,
future TAG plans, and details for the eighth grade (optional) capstone project. Our TAG Google
Classrooms are currently being set up or updated and will roll out after Back to School Night on
October 6th. It’s important to allow students and teachers to have the first few weeks to settle
into their new classes and routine. During the months of October and November, I will be
working with your student(s) to develop personalized TAG plans.
Please know that I am here for you and look forward to supporting you and your child during
this historic time. We are all learning and growing together and I count myself privileged to be
on your team.
Warm Regards,
Cheri Davidson
