Gender Options on LOSD Registration Form

Lake Oswego School District has updated its registration form to allow students and parents to identify as male, female, or gender X. Gender X is for non-binary people, including intersex and gender-fluid individuals.

Beginning this school year, the Oregon Department of Education requires school districts to offer students the ability to select from these three genders. LOSD embraces these options as part of our equity, diversity, and inclusion work.

The ParentVUE/StudentVUE portal has been upgraded. While the content remains the same, junior high and high school families will notice a cleaner interface and new graphs on some pages. An updated user guide for parents has been posted to the LOSD website.

If parents are ever concerned about a student’s well-being, feel free to reach out to your principal. It is important to keep your lines of communication open and maintain strong partnerships between students, families, staff, and other resources.

SafeOregon also is an effective way to report a tip regarding safety threats or potential acts of violence to our students or schools.

(Students should also know that intentionally providing a false report is a serious offense.)
