2021-22 Spanish Immersion Kindergarten Enrollment
Important dates for the 2021-2022 school year*

- SI Kindergarten Application Deadline: March 12, 2021, 3:30pm**
- SI Kindergarten Lottery Date: March 17, 2021, 3:00pm
- SI Kindergarten Lottery Notification: March 19, 2021
*Should the district receive more applications than spaces available, a lottery will be held. Those wishing to participate in the lottery must submit their application to the District Administration Office no later than 3:30pm on Friday, March 12, 2021.
**Applicants must be registered for kindergarten at their resident school. If the applicant receives a Spanish Immersion slot, the resident school will transfer the student information to River Grove.
Applicants must be residents of the Lake Oswego School District. No applications will be accepted for out-of-district residents. Early admission students (born between September 2-15) will be considered by a supplemental lottery should space be available after all spots have been filled by age-eligible students. Early Admission students will be subject to all Early Admission application procedures and requirements. Children with birthdays after September 15th of the school year are not eligible for enrollment or early admission consideration according to School Board Policy.
Younger Siblings of Students in the Spanish Immersion Program
Younger siblings of students currently in kindergarten through 4th grade of the Spanish Immersion program have priority for enrollment only at the kindergarten level. Sibling priority does not apply to current siblings on the waitlist.
If you currently have a child enrolled in the District’s kindergarten through 4th-grade Spanish immersion program, you will have the first choice for enrollment in the kindergarten program. You will not be entered into the lottery, but you must submit an application to the program prior to the March 12, 2021, 3:30pm lottery deadline to be assured a slot. Slots not filled from sibling applications will be available in the general lottery.
The elementary Spanish Immersion program is currently located at River Grove Elementary School, but may be subject to change.
The middle and high school level Spanish Immersion programs are located at Lakeridge Middle School and Lakeridge High School, respectively.
Currently transportation for northside elementary school students in Spanish Immersion is provided via a shuttle bus stop (Lake Grove Swim Park) for pick-up and drop-off.As a courtesy to our northside elementary families, a shuttle bus is provided to pick up students from a bus stop and transport them to River Grove Elementary School. The shuttle bus will have no adult supervision at either the pick-up or drop-off sites.Kindergarteners require a parent or guardian to meet the school bus at student drop-off in order for the driver to release the student.No transportation will be provided for middle or high school northside immersion families.If you would like to use Extended Care for your Spanish Immersion student, such care is provided at Palisades (in accordance with Extended Day services policies), and transportation is provided to/from Palisades and River Grove.
